Kirsty Kavanagh

Kirsty is the dedicated founder of Pawsome Pets, a pet relocation company inspired by her passion for keeping families together and helping rescue pets find their forever homes. Her journey began when she flew a cat named Jamie Hendrix to his new home in the UK, sparking her love for assisting families and their pets with international travel.

 

An animal lover from an early age, Kirsty has lived in the UAE for over 18 years, fostering countless cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies for various rescue charities. Her heart lies with German Shepherds, and her soul dogs, Lost and Smoke, and their feline brother Henry were the founding members of Pawsome Pets. Though they are no longer with us, their legacy continues through the current gang: Kiva, Zak, Rocky, Maggie, and the feline duo, Dolce and Louis. All the Pawsome Gang have a heartbreaking backstory but life is vastly different now - often creating havoc in the office on the days they get to accompany mum to work.

 

Before moving to the UAE, Kirsty spent much of her life traveling around the world due to her father’s military career. This early exposure to the challenges families face when traveling internationally with their pets deeply influenced her mission with Pawsome Pets.

 

Prior to establishing Pawsome Pets, Kirsty had a successful career in HR, working across different industries and geographies. Today, her heart and soul are devoted to Pawsome Pets and her four-legged family. She is supported by her loving husband, Mick, who often returns from business trips to find new furry family members at home. Kirsty’s unwavering dedication and love for animals continue to inspire those around her.
